Labiaplasty is procedure that allows your plastic surgeon to shorten the length of the labia minora otherwise known as the "little lips" or inner vaginal lips. The elongation of the labia minora can cause tugging or pulling during exercise, intercourse, or simply wearing certain clothing. This can cause a lot of irritation and discomfort which can be alleviated with a labiaplasty.

Patients who identify with the following may be a good candidate for surgery. However, the only way to determine your candidacy for labiaplasty is to meet with a plastic surgeon during a consultation:
Elongated labia minora or “little lips”
Healthy without medical comorbidities
Non-smoker
No allergies to lidocaine or its derivatives
Recovery from labiaplasty surgery is minimum, usually patients are able to return to work 3 - 4 day after surgery. However, patients must avoid cardiovascular activity and anything penetrative which includes tampons and intercourse for about 6 weeks or until they’ve been cleared by their plastic surgeon. It's normal to experience swelling or soreness after the surgery, but this will subside over time.
It is important to understand that each patient is unique and your recovery time can depend on a variety of factors.
Enhancement: Immediate
70% Swelling reduction: 2 - 4 weeks
Full Settling and recovery: 3 months
